IMH-DP Paths for MS in Communication Disorders Candidates

Students accepted by the School of Education into the Master of Science in Communication Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology) degree program have two options to participate in the Infant Mental Health-Developmental Practice (IMH-DP) Training Program.

Option 1

Students can apply to participate in the IMH-DP program prior to participating in MS in Communication Disorders. See the IMH-DP course schedule. Students would participate in IMH-DP for 15 months (i.e., May 2017 through August 2018) and then matriculate into the MS in Communication Disorders for the following fall semester.

Option 2

Students can begin with their MS in Communication Disorders foundation year (August 2017 through May 2018), then leave their program to participate in IMH-DP for 15 months (May 2017 through August 2018), and matriculate back into their primary program for their advanced year the following fall. See the MS in Communication Disorders course schedule.

It is recommended that students contact the Project Manager of the IMH-DP Program to further discuss the pathway to obtaining an MS in Communication Disorders and an MS in IMH-DP.
