Current Graduate Student IMH-DP Application Process 

Applicants must be:

  • Interested in working with 0-5 year olds and their families
  • Interested in receiving specialized training to enhance your skills and career opportunities
  • In good academic standing in your primary discipline

Once accepted, scholars must:

  1. Submit an up-to-date transcript at the end of the Spring Semester demonstrating you are in good standing to enroll in the program.
  2. Sign a pre-scholarship agreement/two-year service obligation which you will receive upon acceptance.
  3. Participate in a two-day program orientation immediately prior to the start of classes each summer semester.

How to Apply

Applications are now being accepted on a rolling basis with the fourth cohort of students beginning May 2019.

  1. Application cover sheet
  2. Current resume
  3. A copy of your undergraduate (if multiple schools, please include all locations) and graduate transcript (unofficial)
  4. Three letters of recomendations from a  combination of instructors and supervisors/employers that addresses your academic standing, participation/assignments (from instructor); your role, experiences and competence with children and families (from supervisor/employer).
  5. Statement about your interests, what you hope to gain from this program, how you feel you can contribute to the program and any other information about yourself that you believe can help us decide if you are a good fit (max. more than 3 pages)
Please have letters of recommendation sent directly to the Project Manager. Questions with an * (asterisk) are required questions for reporting demographics to the Federal Government. This information will not be used for anything other than reporting demographics to the Federal Government.
